Mr. Vernon Elbert Taylor, Jr., age 54, of Lanett, AL passed away on Saturday, January 26th, 2019 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. He was born on November 2nd, 1964 in West Point, GA.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his mother, Rita Ann Taylor of Lanett, AL; his two sons, Nicholas Vernon (Shantoria) Taylor and Justin Ryan (Mauri Scott) Taylor, both of Valley, AL; his grandson, Gabriel Ethan Taylor; his sisters, Annette (Ronnie) Belcher of Penton, AL and Cindy (Herbert) Henderson of Lanett, AL; his brother, Dale (Tam) Taylor of Valley, AL; his significant other, Tracy Shepherd.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Elbert Taylor, Sr.

Mr. Taylor was a car enthusiast who had a great sense of humor. He made everyone feel welcome regardless of race or anything else. He had a big heart, loved his family, and to spoil his grandson. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 1st, 2019 at 4:00 PM (EST) at Victory Baptist Church in Lanett, AL.
