Wanda Lee Hill Eidson

     Mrs. Wanda Lee Hill Eidson, age 73, of Valley, AL passed away on Friday, April 19th, 2019 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. She was born on October 16th, 1945 in Charleston, SC.

     Mrs. Eidson is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Johnson and Cheryl Eidson (Daniel) Brown, both of Alabama; her son, William “Bubba” (Sonja) Eidson of Warrenville, SC; her eleven grandchildren, Rob Johnson, Chris (Lisa) Johnson, Jamie (Lindsay) Eidson, Stevie Brown, Chasitie (Josh) Brown, Danielle (AL) Rawls, Travis Eidson, Kyle Horne, Adam Horne, Justin Eidson, and Brittnee Eidson; her fourteen great grandchildren, McKayla, Sydney, Ryan, Miche’, Quintin, Veah, Maggie, Brielle, Aubree, Ryleigh, Parker, Madison, Brantley, and Reaylen; her sister, Faye H. (J.B.) Waites; her special friends, Nancy Gunter and Mavis Durham; several nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Paul Hill and Elsie Whitley Hill; grandson, Andrew Eidson; three sisters, June H. Williams, Pauline H. Estes, and Cynthia H. Tolbert.

     Mrs. Eidson was an American Indian culture enthusiast who loved country music, especially Elvis and Loretta Lynn. She had a very green thumb and loved being outdoors and planting flowers. She also loved fishing and looking at outdoor lights. She had a big heart and a sweet soul.

     Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 22nd, 2019 at 2:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. The Rev. Ron Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Fairfax Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1:00 PM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home.
