Ms. Annie Idella Boggess, age 87, of Ozark, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 at her residence. She was born on March 31st, 1932 in Roanoke, Alabama to the late Georgia Belle Messer Pinkard and Thomas Malone Pinkard.
Ms. Boggess is survived by her children, Lana Piercy, Kathey (Steve) Rosichan, Mike Boggess, and Sonja (Juan) Santana; her grandchildren, Jody Piercy, Bridgett Williamson, Gidget Sellers, Chris Blunt, Jason Blunt, Mandy Blunt, Gina Blunt, Sharra Rosichan, Sean Rosichan, Andrew Rosichan, Annie Prejean, Chelsea Whitaker, and Matthew Whitaker; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Genelle Powell and Brenda Denton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Lanny Blunt and Glenda Whitaker; granddaughter, Tracey Piercy; brothers, Cecil Pinkard, John Thomas Pinkard, Howl Pinkard, and Benny Lamar Pinkard; sisters, Audie Mae Brown, Willie Belle “Billie”Endsley, Jetty Pearl Blevins, Shirley Christine Sims, and Dorothy Faye Howard.
Ms. Boggess was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed going on cruises and cooking. She was always smiling and loved to be with her children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 4th, 2019 at 11:00 AM (EDT) at the graveside in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery in Roanoke, Alabama. Mr. Tim Jackson will officiate. No visitation is planned at this time.
