Mrs. Barbara Ann Moore, age 76, of Cusseta, Alabama went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, January 20th, 2023.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Julia and James Monroe and sister Shirlene Waldrop.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lanell Moore; son, Jefferey Moore (Tonya); Grandchildren, Kadie Bailey (Will), Kyle Moore(Laurel),Ashlyn Looser (Cj), Dylan Williams(Pamala), Kensley and Chance Taylor; Great Grand children, Makenna Moore, Oaklyn and Austyn Looser and Chandler Taylor ; Brothers Gene Monroe(Eva), Gary Monroe (Lynn); her very best friend of 38 years, who was more like a sister, Helen Lafountain and Theda and Keith Taylor ;nieces, nephews, and many more close friends.
Mrs.Barbara “Maw Maw” was born on August 24th 1946 at Langdale. There are not sufficient words to describe the magnitude of how much she loved her family. She was blind, however that did not stop her from calling each family member at night just to check in on how their day went. She memorized everyone’s phone number that she knew. Being blind never slowed her down. She loved God, classic country music, diet coke, popcorn, sweets and Alabama football. She was a devoted wife, mom, maw maw, sister, aunt and friend. She was loved by many and will truly be missed.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 2:30 P.M EST at The Bridge Church, 1000 Lee Road 263 Cusseta, Alabama 36852. Her family will be receiving visitors at the home of Helen Lafountain following the memorial service.
