Betty Bartlett Faulkner Obituary

Mrs. Betty Bartlett Faulkner, 85, originally of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, June 29th, 2021, in Auburn, Alabama. She was born on October 26th, 1935, in Lanett to the late Homer E. Bartlett, Sr. and Nellie Tidwell Bartlett.

Mrs. Faulkner is survived by her husband, Knox Elder Faulkner; children, Buddy Faulkner, Kenneth Faulkner (Bonnie), Steven Faulkner (Toni), Paige McKinley, and Michael Faulkner (Sharon); grandchildren, Michael Faulkner, Jr., Sean McKinley, Jason McKinley, Matthew McKinley, Alexandra Faulkner, Ken Faulkner, Jr., and Kolton Faulkner; two great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Wood.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Homer, Bill, and Marty Bartlett; sister, Jane Carson; grandson, Josh Ringley.

Mrs. Faulkner was married to her high school sweetheart for more than sixty-five years and raised five children. After the children were grown, she became interested in genealogy. She would visit old cemeteries and research old records. Ultimately, she traced branches of her family tree to the early 1600s and each immigration to America. Later in life, she enjoyed spending time in her garden and loved watching the flowers bloom each spring.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 1st, 2021, at 10:00 AM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, Alabama. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The Reverend David Bradshaw will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday morning from 9:00 AM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home.
