Betty Jo Williams
March 26, 1947 – June 22, 2025
Betty Jo Williams, 78, of Lanett, passed away peacefully at her home on June 22, 2025.
She was born to the late D. Joe and Betty Jean Carroll and retired from West Point Pepperell after many dedicated years. Betty deeply cherished her time with family and was especially proud of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Angela Pike, Brenda (Stacey) Waldroup, and Kelly Wyatt (Mark Kelley); grandchildren, Andrew Pike (Donna Griggs), Brooke Hudmon (Kyle), Ryan Slack (Mia), Joe Slack, Callie Slack, Marlena Bevineau, James Grimes, Heather Waldroup, and Sherry Boleen (Ted); eleven great-grandchildren; and her brothers Phillip (Tammy) Carroll, William (Wanda) Carroll; and sister, and Ramona Baldwin (Eddie).
Betty Jo was preceded in death by her husband, S. Lee Williams; her sisters Cathy Sprinkle and Belinda O’Shields; and her brother, Noah Carroll.
She will be remembered for her love, strength, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
Funeral services for Betty Jo will be held on Thursday, June 26th, 2025, at 11:00 AM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Betty Jo’s family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
