Bonnie Lynn Bickford Obituary

Bonnie Lynn Bickford, known affectionately as Bonnie, passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 22, 2023, in Lanett, Alabama. Born on April 15, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, Bonnie was a loving, passionate, and faith-filled woman who touched the lives of many.

Bonnie was the cherished wife of Barry A. Bickford, with whom she shared 46 blissful years of marriage. She was a devoted mother to her children, Paula (Max) Moncrief and Celia (Chris) Towler, and a loving sister to David May and Johnny May. Bonnie was also a doting grandmother to Haley (Richard) Pelham, Jessica (Steven) Perry, Anthony Moncrief, and Wil (Lexi) Towler. She was blessed to see her family grow with the addition of her great-grandchildren, Madalyn, Myleigh, and Maleah Perry. Bonnie also held a special place in her heart for her God Daughter, Stephanie Sanders, and her faithful canine companion, Blaze.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, L.Q. Brown and Betty Lenoir Brown, brother, Jimmy May, and her God Sister, Sharon Ann Lenoir. Despite the loss, Bonnie carried their memories in her heart, allowing their influence to shape her into the remarkable woman she became.

Bonnie was a proud member of the Johnson Chapel Church. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, providing her with strength and comfort in times of need. She was deeply involved in her church community, always ready to lend a hand or share a kind word.

Bonnie had a zest for life that was truly infectious. She loved to fish, hunt, and pan for gold, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Despite her gentle demeanor, Bonnie was known for her stubbornness and competitive spirit. Whether it was a friendly game of cards or a fishing competition, Bonnie was always in it to win it.

Above all, Bonnie was a family woman. She loved her family fiercely and unconditionally. Her home was a place of warmth and love, where everyone was always welcome. She was the heart of her family, her love and guidance a constant presence in their lives.

Bonnie's passing leaves a void that can never be filled. Her radiant smile, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering faith will be deeply missed. But her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her legacy of love, faith, and resilience will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends.

Bonnie Lynn Bickford was a beacon of light in a world that can often seem dark. She was a testament to the power of love, faith, and determination. Her life was a beautiful journey, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life, remembering the joy and love she brought into our lives.

May Bonnie's soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to be a blessing to all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Bonnie’s memory to Johnson Chapel Church.
