Candee Desiree Walker

   Candee Desiree Walker, a beacon of love and nurturing spirit, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, in Cusseta, AL. Born on October 16, 1954, in Barnesville, GA, Candee lived a rich life characterized by her unending kindness and joy for the simple pleasure's life had to offer.

   Candee, as she was affectionately known to all, had a heart that knew no bounds. Her life was a testament to the power of love, and she lived every day with a warm and contagious smile. Candee's presence was a comfort to those who knew her, and her legacy is one of unwavering care and devotion, particularly to her cherished family.

   She is survived by her loving son, Rodney Walker, who was the apple of her eye and the center of her world. Her sister, Sonja (Uncle Tater) Thrower, stood by her side through thick and thin, sharing in joys and shouldering sorrows together. Nephew Rodney Shelander, and Ryan O. Shelander, as well as her niece Rhonda Gordy, will forever hold dear the memories of their kind and loving aunt.

   Candee was preceded in death by her parents, Hubbert Bearden, whose teachings and values were evident in the gracious way she lived her life. Their legacy continued through her deeds and the gentle wisdom she imparted to her family.

   A woman of many passions, Candee found solace in the tranquility of her vegetable garden, where she nurtured life from the earth with tender care. Her garden was a place of peace and reflection, and the bounty she grew was shared generously with friends and loved ones. She also had a special talent for growing flowers, especially buttercups, which seemed to bloom just a little more brightly under her watchful gaze.

   Candee's love for Lifetime movies was more than just a pastime—it was a window into her soul. The stories of perseverance, love, and hope resonated with her and often were the backdrop to many family gatherings where laughter and tears were shared in equal measure.

   Above all, it was her role as a loving mother that defined her. Candee poured her heart into nurturing, guiding, and cherishing her son, embodying every definition of the word 'love' with her every action.

   As we say goodbye to Candee Desiree Walker, we are reminded of the gentleness and compassion she brought into our lives. She taught us to love unconditionally, to find joy in the small things, and to always keep our hearts open. Candee will be dearly missed, but her spirit and the memories she created will bloom perennially in the lives of those she touched. Her story is not one of sorrow, but a celebration of a life well-lived and a love that will continue to inspire.
