Carolyn Ann Smallwood Thomaston Obituary

Mrs. Carolyn Ann Smallwood Thomaston, age 86, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Saturday, April 4th, 2020 at Diversicare of Lanett. She was born on September 21st, 1933 in Lanett, Alabama to the late Posey and Willie Bob Smallwood.

Mrs. Thomaston is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, William Thomaston; children, LuAnn (Darryl) Sims, Melinda (Terry) Hadaway, and Steve (Kim) Thomaston; siblings, Jeanice Robinson; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles “Bobby” Smallwood.

Mrs. Thomaston was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shawmut and she also attended Fairfax United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crafting, cooking, and spending time with her family. She loved to recite Bible verses to her friends and family.

Due to gathering restrictions, services will be private.
