Christopher John Terry, 49, of West Point, Georgia, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 20th at his home with his children by his side.
He is survived by his children, Lauren Elizabeth Terry and Christopher Beck Terry; his mother, Shirley Terry Carson (Grant); his siblings, Tana Johnson Hochler (Les), and Richmond Bohler Terry, Jr. (Sheri); and father-in-law, Tracy Metclaf (Paul Dagenais). He was preceded in death by his wife Holley Metclaf Terry; father Richmond Bohler Terry, Sr; and brother-in-law, Don Carlos Johnson, Jr.
Chris was born February 22nd, 1972, to Richmond and Shirley Terry in Langdale, Alabama. He graduated from Springwood School in 1990 and from Auburn University in 1996 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He worked as an engineer for his entire career, primarily in the telecommunications field, most recently for Intrado. Chris also played bass in several local bands since he was in high school. His passions in life were his children, tube amps, and music. Chris was a selfless person and always prioritized the needs of others over himself.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 24th at 3:30 PM EDT at Lanett First United Methodist Church with visitation in the church parlor beginning at 2:30 PM EDT.
