Clarence David Holladay, Sr. Obituary

     

     Clarence David Holladay, Sr., age 90, a life-long resident and business owner in Lanett and Valley died on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 in Auburn, Alabama. He was born on June 24th, 1931 in Lanett, Alabama to the late Owen David Holladay and Alice Thompson Green.

     Mr. Holladay is survived by his wife of 65 years, Christine Holladay; daughter, Teresa Holladay Allen (John); son, Dave Holladay (Sandra Casey); grandchildren, Tiffany Holladay Walden (Lee), Dennis Holladay (Tabitha), J. R. Allen, and Ashley Allen; great grandchildren, Kateley Walden, Addiley Walden, and Ryder Holladay.

     Mr. Holladay joined the U. S. Air Force in 1948 and was deployed to Berlin, Germany to assist with the Berlin Airlift. He continued to serve his country through the Korean War until his retirement in 1970 as a Master Sergeant. He was the owner / operator of Holladay Auto Parts and Holladay Wrecker Service for many years. He really loved his family and his country.

     Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 4th, 2021 at 3:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Entombment will follow in Johnson Memorial Gardens. Pastor John Samanie will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.

     Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Compassus Hospice in Auburn, Alabama or to Community Chapel Church of God in Lanett in his memory.
