Clyde Junior Bolt

Clyde Junior Bolt, known to family and friends simply as Clyde, passed away on June 2, 2026, in Montgomery, Alabama, at the age of 79.

He was born on March 2, 1947, in Jackson County, Alabama, and lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that made each day meaningful.

Clyde was a man who could bring a smile to those around him with his quick wit and easygoing nature. He was known for being kind and funny, and those qualities left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Clyde enjoyed a life centered around the outdoors and the company of those he loved. He especially loved hunting, camping, and fishing, and he found peace and happiness in time spent outside. Whether he was sharing stories, enjoying the quiet of nature, or spending time with family and friends. Clyde embraced life with a spirit that was genuine and full of heart. One of his favorite sayings, “God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy,” reflected his sense of humor and the way he viewed the world with both honesty and laughter.

He is survived by his son, James Bolt and wife Amy; his daughter, Angela Duck and husband Jackie; his grandchildren, Matthew Bolt and wife Anna, Christina Fleitas and husband Josh, Pacey Duck, and Cade Duck; his sisters, Alice Watson and Shirley Clifton; his brother, Archie Bolt and wife Trudy; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Clyde cherished his family, and his love for them was evident in the way he lived his life and the memories he created with them over the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bertha Bolt; his brother, Billy Joe Bolt; and his sister, Debra Ann Kitchens. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life, and he carried the legacy of his family with pride and devotion.

Clyde will be remembered for his warm personality, his laughter, and the comfort he brought to others simply by being himself. He had a way of making people feel welcome, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Though his earthly journey has ended, the love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His life was a testament to the value of kindness, the importance of family, and the joy that can be found in a life well lived.

Clyde Junior Bolt will be remembered with love, respect, and gratitude for the many ways he touched the lives of those around him.
