David LaJoie Shaw

     David LaJoie Shaw, age 81, of Valley, Alabama passed away on January 15th, 2026, in Roanoke, Alabama. He was born on April 16th, 1944, in Shawmut, Alabama to the late Floyd David Shaw and Annie Helen Shaw.

     David is survived by his daughter, Crissy H. Spicer (Chris), and grandchildren, Nicholas James Spicer and Elizabeth Ann Spicer. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Deanna Shaw and Chris Shaw.

     David was a machinist for Delta Airlines for 22 years. He was of the Christian faith and served in the United States Navy from 1962 – 1965. He was a big University of Alabama and Atlanta Braves fan.

     A graveside memorial service for David will be held on Saturday, February 21st, 2026, at 3:30 PM (EST) in Shawmut Cemetery in Valley, Alabama.
