Deborah S. Newton

     Deborah S. Newton, age 69, of Valley, Alabama passed away on September 11th, 2025, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama. She was born on June 17th, 1956 in Stuttgart, Germany to the late Clifford R. Stearns and Opal N. Stearns.

     She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Randy Newton; son, Jason Randall Newton; daughter, Heather Michelle Smith (Paul); grandchildren, Bella, A.J., and Caroline Smith; brother, Ray Stearns (Sherry); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

     Deborah was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who had a great love for music.

     Funeral services for Deborah will be held on Monday, September 15th, 2025, at 11:00 AM (EDT) at the graveside in Fairview Cemetery in Valley, Alabama. Her family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery.
