Debra Lea Gates Pinkard

Debra Lea Gates Pinkard, known affectionately to all as Debra, completed her vibrant journey on earth on July 24, 2025. Born on May 16, 1960, in the coastal city of Seattle, Debra's adventurous spirit and loving heart filled the lives around her with joy and inspiration.

Alongside her loving husband, William Pinkard, Debra became a prominent member of The Lee Chambers Saddle Club.

A cornerstone of her community, Debra flourished as a business owner, demonstrating an unparalleled commitment to her work and the people she served. Her work was not just a means of livelihood; it was a platform for her spirited nature, allowing her to connect with others and leave a positive impact in every encounter.

Debra cherished her role of the family matriarch. She was a nurturing presence in the lives of her numerous children and grandchildren, instilling in them the values of love, courage, and the pursuit of passion. Debra found her greatest joy in the laughter of her family during get-togethers, the warm embraces of her grandchildren, and the comfort of quiet evenings spent with her beloved William.

Her nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members now carry the legacy of her adventurous and spirited personality. Debra's capability to love unconditionally served as a guiding light for her family, creating an everlasting bond rooted in mutual respect and affection.

Her adventurous soul now rides the vast heavens, yet her spirit persists in the world she has left behind. Though she has departed from our immediate presence, the indelible mark Debra left on this world remains, as vibrant and luminous as her spirit always was.

Funeral service for Debra will be held, Monday, July 28, 2025, 11:00 A.M. (EST) at Beulah Baptist Church, Valley, Alabama, with Brother Mitchell Smith officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Valley.
