Doris Buchanan Haynes

     Doris Buchanan Haynes, age 89, of Huguley, Alabama passed away on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 at her residence. She was born on May 4th, 1930 in LaGrange, Georgia to the late John Lesley Buchanan and Lois Lee Duke Buchanan.

     Mrs. Haynes is survived by her daughter, Leigh (Jonathan) Howell; grandchildren, Carlen Howell and David Howell; numerous nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Haynes; son, Lesley Haynes.

     Mrs. Haynes was a faithful member of Pine Forest Congregational Church in Valley, Alabama for fifty-two years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #67. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and watching westerns. She was an avid Alabama fan.

     Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 at 12:00 Noon (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow at Friendship Christian Church Cemetery in Roanoke, Alabama. The Reverend Derrick Rutledge will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 11:00 AM (EDT) until the service hour at the funeral home.
