Mr. Earl Whaley, age 80, of Huguley, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2020 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama. He was born on November 24th, 1939 in Wedowee, Alabama to the late Georgie and Lonnie Whaley.
Mr. Whaley is survived by his children, Daun Tucker of Atlanta, Georgia, Janice (Mike) Heard of Woodland, Alabama, Debbie (Sam) Copeland of Penton, Alabama, Joey (Belinda) Whaley of Dadeville, Alabama and Carolyn (David) Reaves of Huguley, Alabama; grandchildren, Erin (Charles) Weaver, Travis (Nancy) Heard, Lindsey Dye, Kaylee Whaley, Erica (Justin) Hill, Victoria Reaves, and Grayson Reaves; great-grandchildren, Madison and Ryder.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jane Whaley, and two brothers.
Mr. Whaley was a former Supervisor at West Point Pepperell’s Fairfax Mill. He was a former member of the U.S. Army National Guard. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a beloved father and grandfather.
Due to current gathering restrictions, a private service and visitation will be held on Saturday at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. The Reverend James Caulfield will officiate.
