Elizabeth McDonald

     Mrs. Elizabeth McDonald, age 95, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, August 18th, 2020 at her residence. She was born on August 6th, 1925 in Lanett to the late Jim and Eva Mobley Smith.

     Mrs. McDonald is survived by her daughter, Mary Yvonne Wright; granddaughter, Michelle (Tony) Lane; great grandchildren, Jacob (Dani) Huerta, Hannah Huerta, Jonathan (Kacie) Lane, and Kaci Lane; great-great grandchildren, Evie Marie Lott, Keaghan Lane, Bristol Lane, Kamry Elder, Emma Ward, and Charleigh Colley.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldred McDonald; siblings, three of her brothers died in infancy, sisters, Julia Harris and Maggie Lois Colley, brothers, Jimmy Smith and Grady Smith; son-in-law, Tony Wright.

     Mrs. McDonald was a member of Shawmut Nazarene Church. She loved her church and her church family. She enjoyed sharing recipes, baking, quilting, and painting Santa Clauses. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren.

     Due to social gathering restrictions a private service will be held at the Shawmut Nazarene Church on Thursday, August 20th, 2020. The Reverend Tim Campbell will officiate. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
