Valley – Mrs. Elizabeth “Beth” Jimmerson Brazeal of Valley, Alabama, died Thursday, February 18th, 2021, at the Lanier Nursing Home.
Mrs. Brazeal is survived by her sons, Dr. Charles J. Brazeal (Anita) of Opelika and David L. Brazeal (Lisa) of Opelika; grandchildren, Audrey Brazeal Wood (Keith), Anna Brazeal Procise (Josh), and Andie Brazeal Hardage (Chuck); great grandchildren, Landon Procise, Addison Wood, Braden Wood, Elizabeth Wood, Wade Procise, and Hayden Procise; brothers, Paul Jimmerson and Kenneth Jimmerson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Charles “H.C.” Brazeal; brothers, Billy Jimmerson and Perry Jimmerson; sister, Marie Tullos.
Born in Lee County, Alabama Mrs. Brazeal retired from George H. Lanier Hospital where she started working in the radiology department the first day the hospital opened in 1950. She worked there until her retirement. She was an active member of the Shady Grove Christian Church where she played the piano and organ. She was a member of the Valley Music Study Club and the Valley Secretarial Society. Beth was Valedictorian of her class at Beulah High School. She was affectionately called BeBe by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She has been a resident of the Fairfax Community all of her adult life. Mrs. Brazeal was the daughter of William John Jimmerson and Minola Perry Jimmerson.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 21st, 2021 at 3:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. The Reverend Robert Murray Guy will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home. Due to Covid-19 masks and social distancing will be required.
