Emily Elaine Lott

     It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Emily Elaine Lott, age 76, of Valley, Alabama. She died in her home at approximately 6:00 PM on August 28th, 2023.

     Mrs. Lott is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Wayne Lott; daughter, Carmin Lott; son, Anthony Lott; grandchildren, Robert Hamilton and Amber Redden (Joshua); great grandchildren, Emileigh Redden, Charlotte Redden, Eleanor Redden, Jessie Olko, Alexander Kushaney, and Jonah Kushaney.

     Elaine had a love for so many things. Among her joys and talents were crocheting, cooking, reading and watching horror, mystery, crime, and action books and movies. She taught many friends and family to crochet and was known for making blankets and dolls.

     When it came to cooking she enjoyed a variety of things, but she was an old Southern cook. She loved cooking shows and reading any kind of recipe. She was fond of Justin Wilson, Emeril Lagasse, and several other shows.

     Elaine has a love of Elvis Presley, James Dean, and Stephen King.

     Elaine supported, encourages, and loved her family when they felt no one else did.

     Though the years had been hard on her, she loved us all and fought through many times of wanting to give up all because she needed to make sure her family would be okay.

     Mamaw, you will be loved and missed always. We know you will be looking down on us. We will be strong, and we will somehow push forward and be okay because of all the years of love, strength, and encouragement you gave us.

     Funeral services for Elaine will be held on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023 at 1:30 PM (EDT) at the graveside at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. No visitation is planned.
