Mrs. Faye Monroe Brown, 76, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Saturday, May 29th, 2021 at Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama. She was born on August 28th, 1944 in Langdale, Alabama to Mary Lois Godfrey Monroe and Wilce Monroe.
She is survived by her children, Paula Brown, James David Brown (Joe Wagner), and Jeanine Duffee (Steve Newton); sister, Martha DuBose (Grady); special friend of the family, Mrs. Lillian Scott; grandchildren, Channon Duffee (Summer and baby girl Jordan Duffee), Shane Duffee (Brittany), and Samantha Garcia (Abrahan); great grandchildren, Rosalina, Michael, and Lyla Garcia, Katlyn, Haley, Chloe Madison, and Bryson Duffee, and Chloe Nicole McDonald; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Paul Brown; brothers, Wilce Edwin, Jr., Donald and Dean Monroe, Bobby Lee and Nolan Godfrey; sisters, Pat Aldridge and Jean Walker.
Mrs. Brown was employed with West Point Pepperell’s Fairfax Mill, in the Inspecting Department, for over thirty years. She enjoyed fishing, music, arts and crafts, especially ceramics, and watching TV. In her senior years she moved from the Fairfax Community to Sylvia Word Manor where she spent time with friends playing dominos and attending social services. She was of the Nazarene Faith.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 1st, 2021 at 2:00 PM (EST) at the graveside in Fairfax Cemetery. Dr. Kenneth Overby will officiate. No visitation is planned and flowers will be accepted.
