Freddy Wayne "Tater" Thompson Obituary

Mr. Freddy Wayne “Tater” Thompson, 68, a resident of LaFayette, AL passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Thompson was born in Troup County, GA on May 8, 1952. He was a veteran having served in the U. S. Army. He was a retired truck driver for Vaughan Trucking, and was a member of Flat Shoals-Salem Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Janet Yarbrough (Matthew); two grandsons, Matthew Thompson & Toney Medders (Meaghan); two great-grandchildren, Sutton Thompson & Layne Medders; a sister, Brenda Carter; and caregiver, Glenda Green. He was preceded in death by his great-grandsons, Cole & Judson Thompson.

A memorial service will be announced by the family.
