Mrs. Richards loved the Lord, and she was a prayer warrior, always wanting to know who she could pray for. Though having a life filled with more challenges than one should, she was never known to complain. Rather, she always had confidence knowing that God would take care of her and her family. In the past year of quarantine, she was able to keep up with all her family with modern technology and repeatedly said “THIS IS AMAZING!”
Mrs. Richards is survived by her children, D. Allan (Laura) Richards, Jr., Christopher (Allison) Richards, Mona (Cory) Ferguson; grandchildren, Abigail, Isabella, Laura Sophia, Jaden, Sarah, and Elijah; sister-in-law, Katie Richards; niece, Tamela Lowery; nephews, Gregory Couch, Chris Richards.
Her family will be receiving friends at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley on Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM EST. There will be a graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham on Saturday at 11:00 AM CST. Pastor Bruce Terry and Buddy Sizemore of Liberty Church Birmingham will be officiating. Due to the social gathering restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required at the visitation and service.
