Iris Y. Adams Obituary

Mrs. Iris Yarbrough Adams, 72, a resident of LaFayette, AL passed away Monday, July 5, 2021, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM EST Thursday, July 8, 2021, from Evangel Temple Church in Huguley. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM EST prior to the service at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Aubrey Adams, Sr.; children, Lee Adams (Kathryn) & Lori Jennings (Jeb); grandchildren, Annalea Smallwood (Joey), & Savannah Adams; great-grandson, Levi Smallwood; brothers, Ronald Yarbrough (Dianne) & Donald Yarbrough (The late Pat Yarbrough); sister, Norma Williams (Ken) and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She and her husband were the founding pastors of Freedom Worship Center in Lanett, where her legacy in the ministry pastored and guided many in the Valley area for several years following in the work of the Lord.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Worship Center, Lanett, AL in her memory.
