Jacob Daniel Fowler, 36, of Beauregard, Alabama personally challenged Jesus to a fishing competition on October 27, 2020. Daniel was born on August 17, 1984 in Lagrange, GA, completely naked and singing Hank Williams Jr. songs instead of crying.
Daniels greatest accomplishments are his three children. He loved to take them all fishing, of course. He enjoyed watching his boys play sports, playing video games with them and now that they are older, wrestling them like grown men because he loved a challenge. He loved demolition and reconstruction projects and lighting things on fire. He enjoyed teaching his boys to do things he really did not want to do anymore, like cook although he was amazing on the grill and in the kitchen and yard work, because its hot out there. His little girl was his permanent sidekick, permanent snuggle buddy and doer of no wrong in his eyes. They loved to make slime together and anything else she told him to love doing with her, He could not fix her hair, but she never minded because that girl will forever be a daddy's girl.
Outside of spending time with his kids, he loved to fish, hunt, blow up motors in any and every vehicle he ever owned mud riding and spinning out in yards, telling jokes, listening to a favorite song with his windows down at full blast and speed, picking at everyone, taking naps when had eaten too much and gardening, yes... gardening.
He is survived by his parents, Cheryl Neighbors and Wayne R, and Tammy W, Fowler, all of Lagrange, GA. His most precious children, Jacob Levi Fowler, Daniel Bowen Fowler and Hadleigh Jane Fowler of Salem, AL. Siblings, Lacey Fowler Kilgore of LaGrange, GA. Ariel (Chad) Warner of West Point, Ga. Ashleigh (Samuel) Bailey of Smiths Station, AL, Anna (Kameron) Staples of Wahiawa, HI and Dawson ( Layton) Fowler of LaGrange, GA.; adored nieces and nephews, Gracyn and Sawyer Kilgore, Channing, Beckham and Surie Warner, Bentley and Waylon Bailey and Cooper Fowler, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Daniel was a thrill seeker, a lover of laughter, would make you lose your breath laughing at his story telling skills and his goat imitations. He had better hair than his four sisters and loved to work on trucks with his brother, He loathed onions entirely and would challenge anyone to a pepper eating contest. He could fix anything, loved hard and had a fierce, protective soul.
I do not know how many fish are in the lakes, rivers, and seas of Heaven, but I bet he will be busy trying to catch them all. Until we are reeled in to see him again.
A small private family service will be held by Daniel's favorite fishing spot on the river on Sunday, November 1, 2020.
