James Bledsoe Obituary

James Bledsoe was the youngest of four sons born to Howard and Eileen Bledsoe. He arrived on June 8, 1953 and departed on April 7, 2021. Jim and his three brothers welcomed a sister in a short while to complete the household with love and adoration. The Bledsoe family resided in Eagle Mountain, Texas with an open range to explore and learn.

Jim grew up to become an avid fisherman and loved the Chattahoochee River with its varied species of bass and spent as much time as possible on the water. He was a keen computer system analyst and used his sharp mind to develop systems for several employers over the years. Upon retirement from the corporate world, he started his own software company developing tools for fishermen like himself.

Jim and Ann Bishop were married for forty-two years, enjoying many adventures and a great love for each other. His sister, Jill, and her son Zeke became part of Jim and Ann’s home bringing both an immeasurable wealth of joy and pride. Today, Jim is known as “Fish Daddy” to Zeke’s two children.

Jim is a graduate of Auburn University with a BBA and always loved to hear “War Eagle” whenever he wore his Auburn cap.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Eileen Bledsoe and survived by his wife Ann; sister, Jill Moore (Chuck); nephew, Zeke Drawhorn (Christi); brothers, Al Bledsoe (Marti), Barry Bledsoe (Judy), Carl Bledsoe (Sharon); two nieces, six nephews, and two grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.

Jim will be missed greatly, not only by his family, but his many fishing buddies and other friends.

     Rest in Peace Fish Daddy.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 9th, 2021 at 2:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Mr. Barry Bledsoe will officiate.
