James Ray Miles, 87, of Valley, Alabama, passed away, Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in Opelika, Alabama.
James was born on January 29th, 1937, in Roanoke, Alabama to the late Gilbert Miles and Mavis Calhoun Miles.
He is survived by his wife, Marrell Miles; sons, Keith Miles and Kenny Miles; sisters, Runell Janney and Betty McClain; brother, Stanley Miles; grandson, Nicholus Miles.
James was a dedicated Auburn football fan who enjoyed bowling and making people laugh. Over the years he worked at the Coca-Cola bottling plant, the West Point Pepperell Service Center, and Industrial Service & Supply. In his youth he played basketball for Five Points High School.
Funeral services for James will be held on Friday, January 24th, 2025, at 2:30 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Johnson Memorial Gardens. James's family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1:30 PM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home.
