James Lee Oliver

   James Lee Oliver was born on July 28, 1969, in Lafayette, Alabama to Tony and Sherry Oliver. Following a courageous battle with several illnesses Lee Oliver 55, of Valley, Alabama passed away on March 27, 2025, at UAB in Birmingham.

   Lee worked at Uniroyal for 13 years and medically retired in 2004.

   Lee had a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, fantasy sports, and Alabama football.

   He is survived by his wife of 35 years Dawn Oliver. His children Brooke and Michael Hadaway, Katelyn (Tammy) Oliver. His grandchildren Jaycee Hadaway, Braylee Hadaway, Skye Vallia, Coleman Oliver, Brayden Tapley, Madison Tapley, and Tyler Tapley. His brother Lamar Oliver, his sister, Tonilynn Oliver, mother-in-law Virginia Butler, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents Tony and Sherry Oliver and Father-in-law Harold Butler.

   Funeral services for Lee will be held on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, at 2:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Paul Brown will officiate the service. Lee’s family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 PM (EDT) until the service hour.
