March 22, 1941 ~ November 30, 2022 (age 81) 81 Years Old

James "Jim" Sexton Obituary

      Mr. James “Jim” Sexton, age 81, of Beulah, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022, at Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama.

     Jim was born on March 22nd, 1941, in Fort Pierce, Florida to the late William and Catherine Sexton.  He was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church.  He was an avid University of Alabama fan who enjoyed golfing and bowling.  He was very outgoing and loved to spend time with family and friends.  One of his favorite things to do was attending his children’s and grandchildren’s events.  He was a great and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

     Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Sexton; children, Vickie Sexton Evans (Roy), Kevin Sexton (Vicki), and Melissa Sexton Nowell (Terrance); grandchildren, Aaron (Emily), Reganna, Holden, Riley, Phoebe, and Brody; great-grandchildren, Faelyn and Caleb; sisters, Eleanor “Elle” Roberts and Carol Sue “Suzie” Hitchings.

     He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patty.

     A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 5th, 2022, at 11:00 AM (CST) / 12:00 noon (EST) at Beulah United Methodist Church.  The Reverend Katrina Paxson will officiate.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Jims’ name to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama.
