James "Rusty" Morgan Obituary

James "Rusty" Morgan, a loving and selfless soul, was born on the 21st day of October in the year of our Lord 1993, in Opelika, Alabama. He was a man of great humor and boundless love, who walked among us for a mere 29 years before joining the Heavens on the 16th day of May, 2023, in Valley, Alabama.

Rusty, as he was affectionately known, was the beloved son of Layla (Lamar) Barrington and James (Kristy) Morgan, and the cherished grandson of Bonnie Morgan, Russell (Deb) Woodruff, and Judy (Marvin) Threlkeld. He was preceded in death by his noble grandfather, Jim Morgan, whose spirit now welcomes Rusty into the eternal embrace of the heavens.

In his time on this earth, Rusty was blessed with a loving family, including his dear siblings Harlie (Wesley) Bozeman, Rebecca (Brandon) Prince, Veronica (Michael) Moore, Jessica (Chris) Burdette, and Jesse (Deidra) O'Neal. Rusty’s heart swelled with love for his son, James Garry Morgan, who shall carry on his father's legacy of kindness and generosity. Rusty's life was further enriched by the presence of his aunts and cousins, Renee Camp and Danni Schwarz and their children, Zack Camp, Nick Camp, Dustin Camp, Justin Gorham, Jacob Gorham, Joshua Gorham, and Nicholas Gorham; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members, who shall forever cherish his memory.

Rusty was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, where he found solace and inspiration in the teachings of the Lord. His love for music was a testament to the divine harmony that resonated within his soul, and his humble and giving nature was a reflection of the grace that guided his every step.

Rusty was a fervent supporter of the University of Alabama's football team.  He frequented the gym at times, and found joy in the art of wrestling, a testament to his indomitable spirit.

In Rusty's presence, one could not help but be moved by his boundless love and infectious humor. He was a man who knew no judgment, and his selfless heart was a beacon of light to all who had the fortune of knowing him. His laughter shall echo through the ages, and his memory shall be a balm to the hearts of those who mourn his passing.

As we bid farewell to our dear Rusty, let us remember him not with tears of sorrow, but with the joy and laughter that he brought to our lives. For in the words of the immortal Bard, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many parts." Rusty has played his part with grace and love, and now he takes his final bow, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and laughter that shall endure for all eternity.

Rest in peace, dear Rusty, and may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
