Janice Beatrice Kirby Holt

     Ms. Janice Beatrice Kirby Holt, age 70, of Adairsville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 9th, 2022 in Rome, Georgia.

     Janice was born in West Point, Georgia on March 19th, 1951. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Valley, Alabama where she spent her childhood. She was a member of Adairsville Baptist Church. She was a very astute businesswoman who owned and operated several businesses over the years. She spent many years in childcare service and loved her time doing it. She had a hand in raising many of her nieces and nephews.

     Janice is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Elaine Skinner; grandson, Forrest Nathan Skinner; granddaughter, Andrea Tori Skinner; great granddaughter, Emma; sisters, Diane Thrasher and Patricia Jordan.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Needham Euthel Kirby and Ruby Griffin Kirby; sister, Peggy Striblin; brother, Euthel “Butch” Kirby.

     Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15th, 2022, at 11:00 AM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Flat Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery in Harris County, Georgia. The Reverend Marty Dunlap will officiate. Janice’s family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 AM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home.
