Jimmy Lamar Folds 52, of Lanett, Alabama passed away unexpectedly at East Alabama Medical Center on Tuesday February 11,2025.
He is survived by his wife of 5 years Jessica Folds, daughters Tayler (Bren) Mahan, Brooke (Mitchel) Kilday. Stepson(s) Brandon, Will (Kenzie) and Justin Beckwith. Grandchildren Houston Horsby, Mara Mahan, Ryan Beckwith and soon to be Callen "Cal" Kilday. Sister Cathy (Johnny) Crowe, baby sister Leslie White, Nieces Jessica (Brian) Thomas and Shade Hamblin, Lifelong friend Bobby Holcomb. Along with a host of extended family and friends.
Lamar loved living a humble and peaceful country style life, but more importantly he loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends while making lots of memories. He enjoyed riding SXS with friends and family, hunting and fishing. Alabama football was the only team for him, Roll Tide!
Lamar worked hard his whole life at Trinidad and Knauf, to provide a wonderful life for his family.
He was a member of Pine View Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Robert & Lessie Ozley, Newl & Ruth Folds, parents Gene & Betty Jo Folds, brother Bobby Folds Nephews Mathew Campbell, and Jacob Crowe
Pallbearers: Brian Thomas, Bobby Holcomb, Steven Scott, Raymond Winston, Jacob Duke, Brad Geter, Brandon Beckwith, and Justin Beckwith.
Funeral services for Lamar will be held on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at 11:00 AM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pastor Joel Scott will officiate. Lamar's family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday morning from 10:00 AM (EST) until the service hour.
