Jimmy W. Kilgore born January 13, 1939 in West Point Georgia passed away October 7, 2024 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.
Son of the late Horace G. Kilgore and Molly Bailey Kilgore.
Survived by his wife of sixty-four years Mary Davis Kilgore, and his children Ricky Kilgore, Teresa Kilgore Montroy (Frank) and Tully Kilgore (Pam). Also, survived by his brother Horace Kilgore lll, sisters Patricia Kilgore Anglin and Janice Kilgore Russell. Grandchildren, Dixie Thompson Van Meter (Jerimy), Matthew Thompson (Elizabeth), Breanna Kilgore Elliot (Evan). great grandchildren, Austin Van Meter, Tucker Thompson and Addilyn Elliott, tanner Thompson, as well as numerous other grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kilgore was a member of the Friendship Christain Church. He worked for West Point Pepperell for many years.
Jimmy's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will be cherished and celebrated.
A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held on Thursday, October 10th, 2024, at 2:00 PM (EDT) at the Friendship Christain Church Chapel in Valley. The Pastor Dylan Glenn will officiate. Jimmy’s family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM (EDT) at the Friendship Christain Church in Valley. Committal will be held a Fairview Cemetery in Valley, Alabama.
