Chris was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, where he served our country with distinction and honor. His brothers in the Navy held a special place in his heart, and he often spoke of the camaraderie and bonds formed during his service. His dedication to his country was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends.
Chris was a quiet thinker, often found contemplating life's mysteries while cruising down the open highway on his beloved motorcycle. His love for the road may have only been matched by his love for the University of Alabama football team.
A loving father, he is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth, and son-in-law, Brian Gibson. His love extended to his grandchildren, Payton Bayles and William Poss, who brought him immense joy. Chris's sisters, Nancy Mask and Renea Dewberry, along with brother-in-law Delmer, were a constant source of support and love throughout his life. His loyal companion, Rufus, was always by his side, providing comfort and companionship. Chris was known for his sense of humor, often lightening the mood with his quick wit. His interesting stories and anecdotes kept his family and friends entertained and his memory will continue to bring smiles to their faces. Chris was not just a man, but a force of nature, whose presence was felt by all who knew him.
In addition to his family, Chris leaves behind many other loving family members, close friends, and his brothers in the Navy. His impact on their lives is immeasurable, and his memory will live on in their hearts.
Chris's life was a testament to his character - loving, funny, and interesting. He lived his life with passion and dedication, always putting his family and friends first.
