Joan Young Pike

   Johnson Brown announces the passing of Joan Young Pike, age 75 who passed away Thursday September 18th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

   Joan was born November 28th, 1949, in Valley, Alabama. She was a member of Pine Grove Church.

   She loved her family, gardening, crafting, and flowers. Joan was the happiest when she was with her family and working in her garden boxes.

   Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mildred Young, Laverne Pike (Babadink), and son-in-law, Ricky Tharp. Joan is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Pike, Scotty Colley, Robin Tharp, Kristi (Jeremy) Brown, Sharon and Henry Hawkins, Greg and Kim Shaver, Tammy Pike, Tina (Jonathon) Aikens, Angie (Art) Hickman, grandchildren, Kendyl (Peyton) Kent, Aubree Brown, Jacob Brown, Jake (Ryanne) Sides, Hayley (Tri) Nix, Madison (Tyler) Piendel, Morgan (Dusty) Johnston, Mathew Allen, Hillary Vickers, great-grandchildren, Stetson and Lorelai Sides, Asher and Presley Nix, Olivia and Samuel Piendel, Sawyer Johnston, sister, Judy Carnley, and brother, Richard (Susan) Young. And a host of Nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.

   Funeral services for Joan will be held on Monday, September 22nd, 2025, at 11:00 AM (EDT) at the Pine Grove Church Chapel in Opelika, Alabama. Interment will follow in Shawmut Cemetery. Pastor Ricky Thomaston will officiate. Joan’s family will receive friends Monday, September 22nd, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the Pine Grove Church in Opelika, Alabama.
