John Myron Benton, 82, of Tampa, passed away at his residence on June 7, 2022.

John was born on October 3, 1939, in West Point, Georgia to the late James Aaron Benton and Dorothy McClendon Benton. 

John is survived by his children, Alicia Benton, Nathan Benton, Matthew Benton, cherished grandchildren, Andrew McMillion, James McMillion, Aaron McMillion, Kayla Suarez, great grandchild, Lillian James McMillion and sister, Laura Hruby.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 2:00P.M. EDT at Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett, Alabama.  No visitation is planned. 

He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
