Judith Anne Hudmon passed away on October 18th, 2024, in Columbus, Georgia, at the age of 80, surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 6th, 1944, in West Point, Georgia. Judy loved her children, grandchildren, great grandkids, and her great, great grandchild.
Judy was married to Jerry Hudmon for 49 years. They made a great life in Lanett, Alabama, along with their two boys.
She also loved fishing and to be on Lake Martin. That is where she felt most at peace.
Judy is survived by her son, Kane Hudmon (Misty); granddaughters, Heather Jacobs, Jamy Hudmon, Bentley Hudmon, Sydney Hudmon, Emma Grace Hudmon, and Adilyn McGinnis. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren, Aryana Hudmon, Jordan Dunn, Aston Staples, Carsen Staples; and a great, great grandson, Asher Sweeny.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Hattie Mae Rearden; her husband of 49 years, Jerry Hudmon; and her son, Marty Hudmon.
Judy also leaves behind a large extended family as well as many friends. She will be greatly missed but is now in her Heavenly home.
Funeral services for Judy will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, at 2:30 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The Reverends Rusty Letson and John Samanie will officiate. Judy’s family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
