Kay Pippen Moore, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, in Opelika, Alabama. Born on October 7, 1946, in Langdale, Alabama. Kay's journey began in Langdale, where her vibrant spirit and warm heart first took root.
Her academic pursuits led her to earn an associate's degree in business, a foundation that would support her in various professional endeavors throughout her life. However, it was her personal life, filled with love and laughter, that truly defined her.
In 2021, Kay embraced a new chapter of her life when she married her loving husband, Curtis Moore. Together, they navigated the world of "firsts," from the simple joys of daily companionship to the grand milestones that mark a shared life. Kay's love extended beyond her partnership with Curtis, enveloping her entire family, who were the cornerstone of her existence.
Kay is survived by a family that adored her, including her husband, Curtis Moore; her special cousin, Waymon Jones; her children, Janet Adamson (Michael), Tim Moore, and Todd Moore (Misty). She was a cherished grandmother to Mallory Mitchell (Daniel), Mychaela Ray (Matt), Jarrett Black (Hannah), Dylan Moore (Jordan), Joshua Adamson (Shaina), Mariah Hoppe (Chase), Colden Moore (Rachel), Kendall Moore (Cheyenne), and Devin Moore (Danielle). Her legacy continues through her 13 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life. Kay's roles as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother were ones she held dear to her heart.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Myrtle Pippen.
She loved unconditionally and guided with wisdom, creating an environment where her family could thrive. Her intelligence shone through in her advice, her conversations, and her ability to navigate the complexities of life with grace.
As we bid farewell to Kay Pippen Moore, we celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy of love that will continue to resonate through the generations.
Her spirit, a blend of compassion and wisdom, will forever be a guiding light for her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
