Kenneth A. Abner Obituary

Kenneth A. Abner, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023, in Opelika, Alabama. Born on October 13, 1950, in Randolph County, Alabama, Kenneth was a wise, thoughtful, and analytical man who touched the lives of many throughout his 72 years.

Kenneth is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Joy Abner; his children, Denise Arthur (Sam), Eli Abner (Dawn), and Amanda Tittle (Bubba); his grandchildren, Anna Malinowski (Drew), Kate Butts, Sarah Arthur, David Arthur, and Alex Rackow; his sister-in-law, Sue Ellen Abner; and his nephews, Mike Cox (Sandy) and John Abner. He was a loving and supportive family man who cherished the time he spent with his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas B. Abner and Maudie Abner; and his brother, Waymon Abner.

As an avid farmer, Kenneth taught his children the importance of self-sufficiency and hard work. He was a dedicated and skilled farmer who took great pride in his work and the land he cultivated. His passion for farming was evident in the bountiful harvests he produced and the knowledge he passed down to his children and grandchildren.

Kenneth was a man of great integrity and wisdom, qualities that endeared him to his many lifelong friends. He was known for his honesty and sound advice, and his home was always a welcome place for friends to come and visit. His warm and welcoming nature made him a beloved figure in his community, and his lifelong friendships were a testament to his genuine care and concern for others.

Kenneth A. Abner will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His wisdom, thoughtfulness, and kindness will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have been a part of his life. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the remarkable life he led and the lasting impact he had on those around him.
