Larry Wayne Kelley Obituary

     Mr. Larry Wayne Kelley, age 80, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Friday, July 3rd, 2020 in Opelika, Alabama. He was born on February 24th, 1940 in Alabama.

     Mr. Kelley is survived by his son, David Wayne (Carol) Kelley of Palm Springs, California; granddaughter, Bianca Kelley of Anchorage, Alaska; step-children, Jennifer (Steve) Lee and William Young; step-grandsons, Nicholas and Ryan Young; sisters, Patricia Jimmy Lankford, Ruby Lois Gray, and Sue May; brother, Freddie (Debbie) Kelley; nephews, Edward, Terry, Billy, Ray, Jeffrey, and Andy; nieces, Linda, Ann, Jennifer, and Suzette.

     He was preceded in death by his wives, Maverline Kelley and Beverly Kelley; daughter, Colleen Kelley; grandson, Patrick Kelley; brother, Eddie Kelley; nephews, Michael and Chris.

     Mr. Kelley was a member of the Lanett Church of Christ and had been attending Valley Baptist Church. He retired from the U. S. Air Force after 20 years and 19 days of service during which time he served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. After his service to his country he worked for the U. S. Postal Service for 17 years and 10 months. He was a proud Alabama resident who deeply loved and cared for his family.

     Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6th, 2020 at 11:00 AM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Shawmut Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
