Mr. Lewis “Thomas” Pitts, 83, a resident of Valley, AL passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 11:00 AM EST from Fairfax Cemetery with Bro. David Toxey officiating. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery. Those attending are asked to observe the CDC & ADPH guidelines regarding the use of mask and social distancing.
Mr. Pitts was born in Roanoke, AL on November 8, 1937. He was retired from Opelika MetalFab and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Valley.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Linda Price Pitts; children, Terri (Thomas) Langley, Donna (Lee) Owens, Karen (Allen) Brown; grandchildren, Ansley (Curt) Averett, Barclay Owens, Briana Brown, Collin (Anna) Langley, Macauley (Chris) Sellers; great-grandchildren, Avery Langley, Oaklyn Sellers, Peyton Averett, MacKenlee Sellers; brother, John Albert (Sheila) Pitts; and sister, Annette Greathouse. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis E. Pitts & Audrey O. McCullough Pitts; a son, Thomas Russell Pitts; brother and sister-in-law, Willie Frank (Deana) Pitts; and brother-in-law, Wayne Greathouse.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in his memory.
