Linda Fullerton Obituary

Mrs. Linda Fullerton, age 82, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, July 21st, 2020 at her residence. She was born on September 5th, 1937 in River View, Alabama to the late James D. Gilson and Anna Margaret Ray Gilson.

Mrs. Fullerton is survived by her daughter, Rena (Bob) Newby; son, Joey (Karon) Fullerton; grandchildren, Brian (Amy) Newby, Amber (Lance) Carter, and Chad (Lindsey) Fullerton; great-grandchildren, Ashley Carter, A. J. Carter, Olivia Fullerton, Jackson Fullerton, and Jaxon Newby; many cousins and dear friends; special friend and caregiver, Dollie Higgenbotham.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe B. Fullerton; and sister, Virginia Claudean Gilson.

Mrs. Fullerton was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church of River View where she loved singing Alto in the choir. Her favorite things to do were feeding the birds, her flowers, and her tomato plants. She also enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball and Alabama football. She loved her family and friends and her face would light up when they entered the room, especially if they were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Due to current social gathering restrictions, a private service and visitation will be held on Friday at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Christian Church of River View, 1465 California Rd., Valley, AL, 36854 or to Chattahoochee Hospice, 6 Medical Park North, Valley, AL, 36854 in her memory.

Please visit Mrs. Fullerton’s Memorial Tribute page at www.johnsonbrownservicefh.com to leave a kind word for her family, to share a memory of Mrs. Fullerton, or to light a Remembrance Candle in her memory.
