Maria Victoria Davis

     Maria Victoria Davis, affectionately known as Vicki, passed away at her home on July 23rd, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 24th, 1946, in Boaz, Alabama.

     Vicki enjoyed horseback riding, painting, and doing many different activities with her community women’s group. She was a member of the Lanett Church of Christ who loved her church family and teaching children’s Sunday school classes.

     She graduated from Sardis High School in 1964 and went on to study the Bible and Greek at the International Bible College, graduating in 1971.

     Vicki is survived by her husband, Max Edwin Davis of Five Points, Alabama; children, Brenda Moore (John Wilson) of Fredonia, Alabama, Susan Dabbs of Cusseta, Alabama, Mike Davis (Donna) of Opelika, Alabama, Merri Crews (Sonny) of Dade City, Florida, Tim Goss (Kelly) and Mark Goss (Sherry); sisters, Margie Dennis (Thurmond) and Emily Medlock; fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her son, Lewis Davis; parents, Otis and Genell Long; brothers, Jimmy Long and Richard Long; sister, Peggy Scott.

     A Memorial service for Vicki will be held on Sunday, July 28th, 2024, at 2:00 PM (EDT) at the Lanett Church of Christ. Minister Jeff Clevenger will officiate.

     In lieu of flowers, Vicki’s family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Lanett Church of Christ, 706 S 13th St. Lanett, AL 36863.
