Marie Farr passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, in Columbus, GA. Born on April 6, 1938, in Oxford, AL, Marie was a beacon of love and generosity throughout her 86 years of life.
Marie was the loving matriarch of a family that adored her deeply. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Wendell) Reynolds and Lisa (Johnny) Bailey; her brother, Marvie (Patsy) Gidley Jr.; and her sister, Sherry West. Marie's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Art (Laura) Finch, Alex (Rebecca) Finch, Lara Beth (Cameron) Griffin, and Jacob (Katelyn) Bailey, as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Allie, Avery, Asher, Abbey, AJ Finch, Jagger, and Ozzy Bailey. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill J. Farr, her parents, Marvie and Verlie Gidley, and her brother, Earl Gidley.
Marie's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and love for her Lord and Savior. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and she was always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need. She had a special place in her heart for cardinals, finding joy in their beauty and the sense of peace they brought to her days.
