Brother Mark Raughton, age 59, of Montgomery, Alabama went to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 in Montgomery. He was born on February 5th, 1961 in LaGrange, Georgia.
Mark is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Raughton; son, Matthew (Lindsey) Raughton, daughter, Amanda (Charlie) Warner; grandchildren, Dozier Warner, Jackson Raughton, and Kate Olive Warner; father, Winfred E. Raughton; brother, Patrick Powers; sister, Mary (Brian) Hodge.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Lee Raughton.
Mark was a devoted husband for 38 years. He was a proud father and the best GG to his grandchildren. He pastored 7 churches over the last 36 years. Not only did he enjoy preaching the Word of God, but, he loved the people that he served. He shared a love for antiques, cooking, and gardening with his daughter. He enjoyed working on cars with his son and grandsons, under the supervision of his granddaughter. He was a member of the Central Alabama Model A Club. As much as he loved these things, they do not compare to the love he had for his Lord and Savior.
A private graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 2nd, 2020 at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery near Penton, Alabama. Brother Rick Evans will officiate. The family will receive friends at a drive-by visitation on Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM (CDT) / 6:00 until 8:00 (EDT) at the Dalraida Baptist Church, 3838 Wares Ferry Road, Montgomery, Alabama, 36109.
