Martha "Sissy" Ann Smith

Martha “Sissy” Smith, 67, of Valley, Alabama, passed away, Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Valley. Sissy was born on December 21, 1957, in Langdale, Alabama to the late Carl O. Jones and Nellie Gray Arant.

She earned a master’s degree in education. She taught for many years in Barrow County, Georgia before her retirement.

Sissy is preceded in death by her parents along with her sister, Jane Shell.

She is survived by, her brother, Anthony Jones and his wife Nell, as well as several nieces and nephews.
