Mary Elizabeth Irvin Brisky, 77, of Valley, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026.
Born on March 12, 1949, the daughter of Jesse James Irvin and Carrie Dennis Rogers Irvin, Mary Elizabeth lived a life overflowing with warmth, devotion, and the simple joys that mattered most.
She was a devoted wife, sharing 51 beautiful years with her beloved husband, Earnest Kyle Brisky, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a legacy of love that continues in their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mary Elizabeth is survived by her four cherished children: Tina Hayes, Alicia Smith (Joseph), Jeff Brisky (Lisa), and Jennifer Smith Carroll (Heath) ; her eight adored grandchildren: Ricky Smith, Ariel Knight, Justin Smith, Amber Smith, Zachary Smith, Jacob Carroll, Camron Carroll, and Lizzy Brisky; and her eight precious great-grandchildren: Conner Smith, Kayden Knight, Colton Smith, Alex Knight, Abigail Knight, Criekstin Clayton, Wrenlynn Carroll, and Lakestin Clayton.
Above all, Mary Elizabeth found her greatest happiness in her family. She delighted in fishing on quiet mornings, camping under the stars, and creating lasting memories around campfires and family gatherings. But nothing brought her more joy than time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren—spoiling them with love, laughter, stories, and endless hugs. She was the heart of every family moment, the one who made everyone feel seen, cherished, and deeply loved.
Her gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. Though we grieve her absence, we are forever grateful for the love she poured into our lives—a love that will live on in our hearts, in the stories we tell, and in the family she nurtured so beautifully.
The family invites you to share your memories and condolences as we celebrate a life filled with profound love, simple pleasures, and unbreakable family bonds.
