Mary N. Mayne

     Mrs. Mary N. Mayne, age 87, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama. She was born in Langdale, Alabama on December 27th, 1933, to the late Thomas Griffin and Frances Sweatt.

     Mrs. Mayne is survived by her daughter, Melissa Jo Rodgers (Gene); sons, Donald Allan Burns and Thomas Burns (Sherry); grandchildren, Tina Dillen (Michael), Angela Coker, Robbie Stockton (Sarah), Ashley Watson (T.J.). and Meredith Burns; great grandchildren, Hamilton Dillen and Miller Watson; sister-in-law, Betty Griffin.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank E. Mayne; brother, Thomas Wayne Griffin.

     Mrs. Mayne was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She lived in the Valley area most of her life and had worked for various stores and cafes in the community. She spent the last few years at LaFayette Extended Care where she made many friends.

     Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 25th, 2021, at 2:00 PM (EST) at the graveside in Fairfax Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 12:30 PM (EST) until 1:30 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
