Mellisa Diane Jones, 62, of Hogansville, Georgia, passed away at her home, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. She was born on January 9, 1964, in Ripley, Tennessee.

Mellisa is preceded in death by her, Mother, Peggy Jones, Father, Freddie Howell Sr, Brother, Roger Howell, Sister, Angel Carrell, and Husband, Robert Jones.

She is survived by, Brother, Freddie Howell, Jr ( Heather Howell), Sisters, Lela Scott (Michael Scott), Michelle Jones, Tammy Kirsch, Daughter, Amanda Spates (Eric Bowen), Son, Ricky Cotton (Nicky Cotton), Daughter, Heather Bonner (Cole Bochette), Grandchildren, Georgia Spates, Michael Crowder, Corey Spates, Timothy Crowder, Keira Pike, Khloe Bonner, Kamry Bonner, Kimber Cotton, and Anthony Cotton.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the chapel of Johnson-Brown Service Funeral Home in Valley, Alabama, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. (EST). Pastor Jerry Scarborough will officiate.
