Michael Shannon Hudmon

Michael Shannon Hudmon (Hubdaddy), 54 years old of Preston Ga, died on Friday October 30, 2020 alongside his family at the residence of his mother and stepfather.

Shannon was born on October 24,1966 in Valley, AL, and currently resided in Preston GA.  Shannon loved the outdoors and doing construction work. He enjoyed hunting, spending time with family, and helping others any way he could.  He never met a stranger and loved to make people laugh.

Shannon was survived by his wife, Leila Hudmon of Preston. His children, Jason (Megan) Pinner of Cuthbert, Jena Hudmon of Cusseta, Jade (Blake) Hudmon of Valley.  His grandchildren, Sutton Cash of Leesburg, Addisyn, and Karsen Hudmon of Cusseta. His parents, Deidra (Ken) McGill and Michael (Donna) Hudmon. Siblings, Shaunna (Tim) McCarley and Jonathan (CJ) Hudmon. His aunt, Sandra Hubbard. His nieces, Alexis Sanders, Braxlee & Rylee Jo Hudmon, and his chocolate lab, Hunter.

Shannon was preceded in death by Stepfather, Bryant Thompson. Grandparents, Eula Mae (William) Buchanon and JC (Inez) Hudmon. Uncle, Robert Hubbard.

His service will be held Monday, November 2,2020 at Pine Grove Church, 7235 U. S. Hwy 29, Opelika, AL, 36804 at 3:00 PM EST officiated by Rev. Rusty Letson. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 3:00 PM EST prior to the service.  Following the funeral, there will be a graveside service at Fairfax Cemetery on U. S. Hwy 29 in Valley, AL.  Those attending are asked to observe the CDC & ADPH guidelines regarding the use of mask and social distancing.  Pallbearers will be Jonathan Hudmon, Jason Pinner, Eddie Baltes, Grady Hughes, William Green, Jamie Foster, and Tim McCarley.
